I finally had time to take around the rolleicord for some snaps. Went to the beach with Grady and Peter for a little KINOD photo session. As you can see, I’ve updated the header image to the blog with a photo that Peter shot of me at the beach. Anyways, here are two developed shots out of the TLR camera, more to come soon:

I am completely infatuated with any and all sorts of film cameras, and film types. I also have to admit that, lately, I’ve been neglecting my digital camera because of my absolute infatuation with the film medium. Shortly after picking up the 5D MarkII, I picked up a 35mm Canon EOS A2, and that’s when the love started. Shortly after picking up the 35mm, I picked up my first medium format camera, a Holga 120FN. And finally, as I previously posted, I acquired a Rolleicord III. My film infatuation is in full swing now. Here are two recent shots from the Rolleicord. I am absolutely astounded with the level of bokeh at F3.5! The second shot on the right is one of my favorite shots from the past couple of months, both in the film and digital formats. I absolutely love the softness, color and feeling from that shot!
Expect more film escapades coming soon. I’ll be taking the Rollei around more than the 5D.

I just picked up an early birthday present for myself. It’s a Rolleicord medium format camera. According to this website, and the camera’s corresponding serial number, this sucker was made from 1950-1953! Just imagine the history this camera has been apart of and seen…
I’m heading to New Jersey this weekend, and I will definitely take this sucker with me to snap some photos of the so-called Garden State!
I had a fantastic graduation session with Teresa on the UCLA campus. We were blessed with an absolutely gorgeous, and warm, late afternoon sun. It seemed like the afternoon teased us with what summer will be like in the coming weeks. And if the summer is anything like yesterday afternoon, then I am quite looking forward to the next few weeks!

The late afternoon sun could not have been any better. Thien was done up beautifully by Thuy (of theThuyProject) with a fantastic fingerweave hair style complimented with a vintage inspired swimsuit and summer hat. We had a fantastic magic hour shoot and the end result came out pretty well. I did not have the chance to break out the 35mm this time around, but I did manage to squeeze some shots in with another camera… So we’ll see how those turn out :)
Thanks to Thien for being such a fantastic model, and Thuy for dolling up the girl so well!
